Team Around the Community

From May 2026, MYDG is hosting a Community Coordinator post for north Edinburgh, working on a project called Team Around the Community. Funded by City of Edinburgh Council, the role coordinates council, health, justice and voluntary sector services, providing early intervention support when and how it’s needed to local people in north Edinburgh. The idea is to facilitate timely and impactful help to families at an early stage of emerging risk of poverty and related concerns. This is to prevent difficulties from becoming complex and entrenched, harder to remedy and more resource intensive.

MYDG is delighted to have welcomed Nichola McFall to the role. With a wealth of relevant community experience to draw on, Nichola will be an asset in helping families in need to access the services they need.
