The Youth Work Games is something we are most proud of developing at MYDG. It started in 2012 as a residential idea to coincide with the 2012 Olympic Games. The idea, like most of MYDG’s work, was to give young people an experience they had never had before.

The aim of the event is for young people attending to build confidence, independence, problem solving skills, to learn how to work as part of a team and develop new relationships. Youth Work Games gives young people time away from their phones and their usual routine and it encourages active participation in a variety of fun and sometimes unconventional sporting events!

It provides a perfect opportunity to build relationships with other young people from outside their local area as participation from youth services across the city is encouraged.
