Partnership
Partnership and collaboration are hard-wired into MYDG’s DNA.
While we have a unique offering for Muirhouse children and young people, we also share a strong sense of purpose and connection with our equivalent youth groups in Granton, Pilton and the wider north Edinburgh area.
Grassroots community groups work together with a strong spirit of cooperation.
In March 2026, this led to a commitment by MYDG to host and line-manage a shared Community Coordinator to cover the new Teams Around the Community (TAC) initiative in north Edinburgh, with R2 as the lead partner and the role funded by Edinburgh Council.

Corporate Partners
We’re keen to find corporate partners who can provide volunteer teams to help with regular maintenance and gardening at our Pilton Retreat at Ratho. The site provides essential space and time-out for young people from north Edinburgh who don’t usually get the chance of a holiday. To find out more, please contact lesley@piltonretreat.org.uk
